Research lines per researcher:Line to which it belongs: Care for the person with chronic degenerative diseases.

Subline: Nephrological care centered on the person; Project: Teaching self-care in patients with dialysis treatment.

It is a small laboratory for the teaching of nephrology where it interacts with undergraduate students in Nursing and graduate students with the Specialization in Nephrology Nursing. It incorporates teaching-learning processes that seek to respond to the demands of attention related to nephrological care in the prevention and limitation of kidney damage, as well as in the implementation of specialized and comprehensive actions in the performance of dialysis therapies and kidney transplantation that can be applied in different 1st health scenarios. 2nd. and 3rd. Level of attention.

An important aspect that is developed in the projects is based on the teaching of self-care to the patient and family. The link with clinical esenarios allows us to meet real, current and future needs in an ethical, legal and humanized framework. We must not lose sight of the fact that the WHO has raised a growing concern in health systems and about the educational and employment situation of nursing, which it identifies as a group that will have increasing importance in the response of health systems and of the epidemiological conditions of the populations.
