In the Histology laboratory of the UMF of the FES-Iztacala, work is carried out to support teaching and research in areas related to normal and pathological histology of humans and other vertebrates. It has the necessary infrastructure to perform the basic techniques of histology and staff trained in performing them, as well as in microscope diagnosis. In the teaching part, it supports different subjects of the careers of Biology, Dentistry, Medicine and Optometry through different Social Service programs and semester job counseling.

It also participates in the reception of students belonging to different university programs of the baccalaureate. In the Research part, she carries out work related to the normal and pathological morphophysiology of vertebrates, including humans, as well as those related to their embryonic development. She also performs support work in the area of hertopathology to other research groups within the FES. She is currently collaborating in research projects at the Autonomous University of Jalapa and the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala.
